The Palm Springs Coaches Clinic prides itself on getting some of the best coaches in the country to speak at our clinic. Letting them share their experiences and knowledge in a fun, relax learning environment. We want you to not only have a great and fun time, but we also hope you can come away with the knowledge and wisdom to take your teams to the next level of achievement and successes. Kelly Ford – Head Coach Mt. San Antonio College
Nine-year Division I coaching veteran and former University of Oklahoma star outfielder, Kelly Ford begins her 6th year at the helm of the Mt. SAC Softball Team. Ford began her coaching stint with Cal State Northridge in 1992 and then assisted her former college coach Jim Beitia (now with Tennessee), for the 1993 season at Oklahoma, before returning to Northridge in 1994. Prior to Mt. SAC, Ford coached two conference championship seasons with Cal State Fullerton, 6 conference championship seasons at Cal State Northridge and one season at University of Oklahoma. Every team she has been associated with has been ranked in the Top 20 and has advanced to NCAA post-season play. She has carried this winning tradition to Mt. SAC.
During Coach Kelly Ford's five years at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), the Mounties have won four straight South Coast Conference and Regional Championship titles. The athletes received numerous accolades: 36 All Conference selections, 13 All State, 9 All State Tournament team, 3 All American, and 14 All Southern California award winners. In her second year won there first State Championship Title, which included the State Player of the Year, Marcel Torres. Ford led the Mounties to their second State Championship in three years, all while recording the team’s best season record of 46-4 which included Mt. SAC’s Spring Athlete of the Year, Heather Slettvet and 3 Easton All Americans. The team was awarded Easton Team of the Year.
Coach Ford has sent 39 players on to play softball at many different 4 year University. These athletes have gone on to play at: Long Beach State, Fresno State, Cal State Fullerton, University of Nebraska, Kansas University, Oregon State, as well as many others. Coach Ford has also sent one player directly to the Softball Pro League.

Michelle Anunciation – Assistant Coach Cal State Fullerton
Michelle Anunciation, a volunteer assistant coach with the Cal State Fullerton softball program for the past two seasons, enters her third season on the Titans staff after being hired as an assistant coach on a full-time basis in August, 2007.
Anunciation takes over for the departed Gina Oaks, who resigned her position after two seasons to pursue professional playing opportunities overseas.
Among her many duties during her two seasons as the program's volunteer assistant, Anunciation worked with the team's slap hitters as well as the middle infielders while also serving as the team's video coordinator and handling the team's travel arrangements.
She joined the Fullerton staff after a standout playing career with the Titans' Big West Conference rival Pacific, earning All-Big West honors three times in her Tigers' career.
A native of Chino Hills, Calif., Anunciation prepped at nearby Diamond Bar HS where she was a four-year letter winner and a three-time All-Sierra League First-Team honoree.

Michael Butler B.A.; P.T.A.; CSCS; PES; NMT
Michael is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education/ Athletic Training in 1991. He currently holds a license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Certifications through the C.H.E.K Institute as a level 2 practitioner, Paul St Johns Neuromuscular Therapy and as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Performance Enhancement Specialist. He also holds certifications in Sports Nutrition, Metabolic Typing and is certified as a First Aid/CPR and AED instructor through American Red Cross.
Michael has been in the healthcare field industry for the past 20 years. He was the former Director at Rancho Physical Therapy in Palm Desert, where he has rehabilitated and trained athletes from all disciplines and has directed conditioning camps here in the valley for the past 4 years. Through his SwingFit program he has trained golfers both at the professional and amateur levels, and offered seminars in the prevention of golf injuries. Michael has also written weekly golf fitness articles for The Desert Sun . Michael sees the need to helping the youth reach their fitness/ wellness goals and to offer a high caliber of functional training skills to the athlete in the pursuit of reaching the next level, whether it be a division1 scholarship, or reaching the professional level in their sport.
Michael has been committed to his field for the past 20 years and is a strong supporter in the community offering his services to the American Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation, ,Desert United Youth Soccer, Palms to Pines Rotary, Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce and the National Sports Wheel Chair Society.
